How it works

Create a profile with what you can explain and what you’d like to learn. I review each profile before it appears in the directory. If you and another researcher both express interest, you’ll be able to see each other’s contact details and arrange a conversation.

A reason to talk about what we study

We spend so much of our time learning about our own fields, and there’s often something lovely about sharing a bit of that knowledge with someone else.

You might want to practise explaining your work, make a new friend, meet a future collaborator, or simply have an enjoyable conversation. You don’t need to be an expert or a professional teacher. You’re a researcher who wants to learn more about the world, and that’s enough.

PhDExchange is a small project made by Ben, a maths PhD student at the University of Bath. Read more about the project.
